The money will be divided between the grace fund (money for our members’ needs) and the City of Children summer mission trip fund.

We’re having a church yard sale Saturday, June 13, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The money made from this sale will be divided between Missions and the auditorium Sound System fund.

Why the short notice?

It was decided to have a series of small yard sales at regular intervals rather than planning a huge, mega sale where we collect stuff for weeks in advance. That way, we can easily set up for the sale, and not have stuff cluttering up the building weeks before and after the sale. 

What items do we want?

In a word, ‘small.’ Household items, shoes, clothes, toys, etc. We can’t handle large furniture items, or appliances. Also, outdated computers are hard to sell. It’s better to take them to Goodwill or another electronic disposal site. 

How can you help? 

First, if you’ve done your spring cleaning and have goodies to donate, bring them to the building by Friday, June 12. Second, if you can help work at the yard sale, come on down.  Rodney said since Bruce and Beth just live practically around the corner, you can alternate between helping them load up the moving truck and working the yard sale (actually it’s more of an indoor swap meet.) Friday afternoon and early evening, we’ll probably sort through the stuff – but we’re not putting price tags on things, or over organizing.
