Grief: A Survival Support Group
Grief is often a confusing and flightening experience for those who have lost a loved one. Preconceived ideas and unrealistic expectations can complicate the process. We often think it should be easier or over sooner than is realistic.
Many people experiencing grief for the first time think they are going crazy. It can be made more difficult by well meaning friends who often contribute to the anguish with innocent words, which while meant to be helpfiil, actually hurt deeply, or even worse, silence.
Our support group will give you a safe place to talk about your loss. You will find that what you are experiencing is common to many other grievers. Grief is a natural process and we will support you as you move through its various phases.
Your loss has forever changed your life. It is now much like a puzzle with a piece rnissing. At first you see only the hole, but in time you will begin to see that the picture is still beautiful. Grief is the process of changing your focus from what you have lost to seeing what you still have.
